Tracker Talks 2021 in association with Procurex National

How to understand the new procurement rules and get business ready to win more contracts!

Public procurement is changing fast. New demands, new rules, a higher profile and an unfamiliar landscape to chart as the UK emerges from the twin challenges of Brexit and COVID-19. It’s a lot to get your head around and there’s not much time to do it.

Hosted every month by Tracker, our free ‘Tracker Talks’ webinar series provides clarity, reassurance and straightforward answers to the questions suppliers are asking. In a complex and changing world, these interactive events are a unique opportunity to gain insight, increase knowledge and develop best practice approaches.

Led by experienced procurement professionals and featuring guest presenters, ‘Tracker Talks’ gets under the skin of the proposed upcoming reforms to the procurement regulations to explain what it all means for you and your organisation, and the actions you should take now. Thought-provoking and highly topical, these are valuable sessions for anyone involved in bidding for public sector contracts and contract delivery.

Understanding the challenges buyers face as a result of change will make you a well-informed supplier, increasing your competitive advantage and allowing you a greater insight into the future shape of tendering.

Changing Procurement Procedures – less confusion will make tendering simpler

2pm Wednesday 8 September – Duration 45 minutes

Delivered by Eddie Regan, Principal Procurement Consultant at PASS Procurement

One of the proposals that will impact the most in the Transforming Public Procurement Green Paper is the intention to halve the number of procurement procedures, which is currently set at six.

The proposed reduction in the number of procurement procedures will make things simpler for you in many ways. The confusion of the current procedures will be removed, with only two main options available in future plus one other procedure for urgent requirements.

Framework Agreements will also be subject to change, with two versions being created, one of which can be refreshed during its life, offering additional opportunities for suppliers to gain access to existing frameworks once they are created, whilst Dynamic Purchasing Systems will also be revamped to allow greater scope for their use and more opportunities to suppliers to get themselves listed for future contract opportunities.

This free to attend live webinar will provide you with an overview of the proposed changes and consider the impact for suppliers, with insight into:

  • The key changes to the procedures
  • What you need to know when the new procedures come into use
  • What the changes to Frameworks and DPS mean in practice
  • How the changes could make things easier for you

You will also receive a complimentary copy of the ‘Transforming Public Procurement Green Paper’ report, as well as the latest edition of our Public Procurement Market Trends report.

Driving Transparency – futureproof your pipeline with better market intel

11am Wednesday 6 October – Duration 45mins

Delivered by Eddie Regan, Principal Procurement Consultant at PASS Procurement

Increasing supplier engagement and transparency are core principles of the procurement reforms; but how can you benefit from the increased visibility of and greater access to information?

From more emphasis on market engagement to additional advertising requirements, the new regulations will require greater transparency from the public sector, offering you significant access to additional information they have never previously enjoyed.

Procurement pipelines will offer greater market intelligence on what buyers are proposing to tender in the future, and there is also an intent to provide suppliers with more information on the decisions being taken by buyers throughout the procurement process.

You will have the ability to plan your future engagement with the public sector through the additional information available to you.

This free to attend live webinar will consider the implications and provide you with insight into:

  • Changes to procurement transparency – including pipelines and debarment lists
  • Building market engagement knowledge
  • Greater access to evaluation scoring
  • Increased requirements for publishing notices

Each attendee will also receive a complimentary copy of the ‘Transforming Public Procurement Green Paper’ report, as well as the latest edition of our Public Procurement Market Trends report.
